Blu Mar Ten - Believe Me (Ekol Remix) FREE by Ekol

This is just brilliant. Ekol is 15 at the moment, and the started making tunes in 2008. Which means he was 13/14 and that's insane. When I heard this track I just knew that this tune needed to be on my blog. Great tune just to sit back and think about the year that ends tonight, and the new year tomorrow. Check out his other tunes as well.

This was a rather different tune than I usually have on my blog. Long time since I had some "filthier" dubstep. Plus the samples in this track are rather splendid.

Skream likes to give away tunes. This tune was the second track on his newest free album, which I really need to listen to. He made the tunes from a timespan 2007 to 2010, so they can be quite different but it's Skream. Also, you can't go wrong with 13 free tracks!

You can download it here, and I recommend you do it because Skream's awesome.

I heard this tune yesterday Mensah's live mix, which was awesome by the way, he dropped lots of good stuff. This track has gotten a lot of plays by Subscape and Caspa. Can't wait to hear the full tune!

26th December

This tune seems to be a some kind of mix beteen James Blake, Skream and Rusko. Which is a bit weird because since they are from San Fransisco. The track has a very fluent/liquid feel to it.

FREE DOWNLOAD - Truth - "Perfect Combination" by Truth

This is a very good tune from New Zealand! It's available as a free download, so enjoy! Check out their other tunes if you haven't, they're very good.

Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy this Christmas-y video, while you're hopefully having a good time!

This is truly one nice tune from Bassnectar. Really not what I would expect from him. It isn't dubstep but it's good anyway. Also, I've made an hotmail account so if people want to recommend me tunes:

Here is the track backwards:

Here's two of Gaslamp Killer's non dubstep tunes. But they're not his tracks, it's more of his refixes. Good tunes nonetheless!

This is just sick. With an very steady rhythm, Goth Trad delivers this tune hard. He's been in the dubstep scene for a long time, but still, not people know who he is.

20th December

This got recommended to me. Not the best of tunes, but it's okay!

I've had these guys on my blog before. Great calm dubstep by two Russian producers with obvious Asian influences, which is always good in my book. There's a reason I got a playlist called oriental/asian influenced dubstep.

18th December

This is a sick tune from no one else than Horsepower Productions. Massive. To be honest, I lost track on how long this tune was because I was so much into it.

Friday, 17 December 2010

17th December

Okay, this guy is full out crazy. He got lots of other good stuff too, but he isn't focusing so much on dubstep. He does a lot of stuff. Check him out if you haven't!

Thursday, 16 December 2010

16th December

This is my last day in school for 2010, so I thought I'd put up something more "nod your whole body instead of only your head"-dubstep. But I was uncertain if I would put this one or the Caspa & Rusko one instead, because I think there is some small changes in the Caspa & Rusko one.

15th December

This is a great tune by James Blake. I've started to hear a lot more of him now. He's a great artist. His tunes are very Burial-like but still his own touch to it because he has got a bit more positive vibe to them.

Tuesday, 14 December 2010

14th December

This is one of my favorite dubstep albums. It's made by Emalkay and was released 2005. I like how it's so simple and dark.

13th December

I've never had Vex'd on the blog before, most because I'm not that familiar with their stuff. Note, this remix was made by Jamie Vex'd (he's one part in the duo Vex'd). Great track, makes my head nod in a weird way. I do also like the weird snare he used in this tune!

Sunday, 12 December 2010

12th December

This is a very interesting tune, just like all of his tracks. I just love how he plays around with the tunes, and the volume switching and all of the stuff. He has got a very experimental type of sound. Great for Sundays in my opinion!

Saturday, 11 December 2010

11th December

This tune has been playing from my speakers for a coupla weeks now. It's made by Hijak, Skreams younger or elder brother? I've heard both, but at least they're brothers. Enjoy.

10th December

Yes, another Skream. While this is not the most dubstep-y track, it's still a very good tune. Makes all atoms and whatever disappear from my head (I had a chemistry test today).

Big up Skream, any day of the week.

Thursday, 9 December 2010

9th December

Really good tune from Skream. What makes this tune stand out to me is that's a more of a positive tune, which is nice to see from a guy who usually makes the darker tracks!

Wednesday, 8 December 2010

Please don't look at this video if you're scared of insects. Because there's loads of them.

Some really new tunes from the New Zealand-group called Truth. Old school, reggae influenced dubstep. Truth also got some really good videos. They released a new EP called Stranger than Fiction, which that tune is taken from, and which I'm going to buy when I can get my iTunes to work again.

7th December

I saw one documentary about dubstep and one mini-documentary about hip-hop yesterday.

Lets start with the dubstep one, which you can view from here. It's going to be free to watch 'til Friday, and after that you can buy it. My personal favorites on that documentary is part 7 "Dam Dub, 10 " Buried " and 14 " Dark Mutations". Basically, a good video for everyone who likes dubstep.

The second one is here. It's not so much of a documentary, it's maybe more of a "thought-starter". They got a lot of good points, so I suggest everyone to see that one even if you aren't into hip-hop!

Also, if you're not into the mood for some documentary, have some dubstep:

Now this is echo heaven. Kryptic Minds is two drum and bass artists gone dubstep really. They are in the making of a new album called "Can't Sleep", which will be released in March/April 2011 with Black Box Records. I must say that I'm waiting to hear more stuff from them because their last album("One of us") was great!

Saturday, 4 December 2010

4th December

This one is from 2000:

Some good old school dubstep. They are going to be back in action(it's been 6 years since their last full album) with their new album, which sounds pretty awesome and I'm definitely going to buy it! Horsepower Productions is really a forgotten jewel.

EDIT: I received this message from a guy who knows his stuff: I just want to clear some fallacies that are circulating (through Fact & K-Mag too)... Horsepower is actually a loose collective of 7-10 people with members like The Culprit, Jay King and Lev Jr. All this talk about a trio or duo are wrong according to Benny Ill & Lev Jr who I interviewed last summer at their studio in Purley. Benny hasn't done much to clear this though.

And this one is from the new album:

This is pretty much the tune you get if you want some one to recommend you some drumstep to you. I'm not sure if I'm liking this but it's okay. I couldn't find any information on the guy though, which is weird!

I'm sorry for the late post but if I would have tried to write it earlier this morning I would have been late!

2nd December

Okay this is filth. Extreme filth. Coki is the second part of Digital Mystikz as most of you know. I've always thought of Digital Mystikz as a more calmer, old school dubstep but this just changes it.

Wednesday, 1 December 2010

1th December

Now this is down right beautiful track from the one and only Distance. His tunes were actually the first calmer dubstep I heard, his track called "Mistral". Check him out, if you haven't done it already!
